1. Definitions

  • "Corvid Labs" / "we" / "us" / "our" refers to the school operating at 33 Jalan Burma, 10050 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
  • "Programme" refers to any of the cohort-based courses offered by Corvid Labs, currently: Mathematics for Machine Learning, Transformer Architectures in Depth, and the Research Practice Programme.
  • "Participant" / "you" refers to any individual who enquires about, enrols in or participates in a Programme.
  • "Materials" refers to all session recordings, problem sets, worked solutions, reference code, written feedback and other content produced or provided by Corvid Labs in connection with a Programme.
  • "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions together with any enrolment confirmation sent to you.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an enquiry through this website, confirming enrolment in a Programme, or accessing any Materials, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not submit an enquiry or proceed with enrolment.

Programmes are open to individuals aged 18 and above who have the legal capacity to enter a contract. By enrolling, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Programme Description and Availability

Corvid Labs offers online cohort-based courses in AI development. Programmes are delivered online via live sessions, a cohort platform and asynchronous materials. Session recordings and materials are accessible to enrolled participants for the duration of the Programme and for a period of twelve months after the cohort end date.

We make reasonable efforts to deliver Programmes as described. We reserve the right to make changes to Programme content where those changes reflect developments in the relevant field or are necessary to maintain quality. Material changes to programme structure, duration or fee will be communicated to enrolled participants with reasonable notice.

Programmes are accessible to participants in any location with a suitable internet connection. We do not impose geographic restrictions on enrolment.

4. Enrolment and Platform Access

Enrolment is confirmed once we have received payment in full and issued a written confirmation to the email address you provided. Access credentials to the cohort platform are issued before the Programme start date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any access credentials and for all activity conducted through your account. You must not share access credentials with any other person. Suspected unauthorised access should be reported to us promptly.

5. Participant Responsibilities

By enrolling, you agree to:

  • Engage with the Programme honestly and complete submitted work independently unless group work is explicitly specified
  • Respect the confidentiality of other participants' contributions in the cohort forum and live sessions
  • Not record, reproduce or distribute live sessions or Materials without our prior written consent
  • Not use the cohort platform or Materials for any unlawful purpose
  • Not engage in conduct that disrupts sessions or is disrespectful to instructors or other participants

Academic integrity is a requirement across all Programmes. Submission of another person's work as your own, or misrepresentation of your participation, will result in termination of enrolment without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

All Materials produced by Corvid Labs — including session recordings, problem sets, worked solutions, reference implementations and written feedback — remain the intellectual property of Corvid Labs. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use these Materials for your personal learning during and after the Programme. This licence does not permit redistribution, commercial use or republication in any form.

You retain ownership of work you submit as part of a Programme. By submitting work, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use it for the purpose of providing feedback and, in anonymised form, for curriculum development and quality review.

7. Fees and Payment

Programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are payable in full before the cohort start date. Current fees are: Mathematics for Machine Learning — RM 590; Transformer Architectures in Depth — RM 2,940; Research Practice Programme — RM 4,660.

Refund policy: Requests for withdrawal received more than 14 days before the cohort start date are eligible for a full refund less any processing fees. Requests received 7 to 14 days before the start date are eligible for a 50% refund. No refund is available for withdrawal requests received within 7 days of the start date or after the Programme has begun.

If Corvid Labs cancels a Programme before it begins, enrolled participants receive a full refund of the Programme fee. If a Programme is cancelled after it has begun due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will refund a pro-rata portion of the fee for the remaining sessions.

8. Completion Records

A completion record is issued to participants who complete the required work for each Programme. Completion requirements include: attendance at a minimum of 70% of live sessions or review of recordings for sessions missed, submission of all required problem sets or assignments, and — for the Research Practice Programme — submission of the final paper draft and delivery of the assessed talk.

Completion records describe the work completed within the Programme. They are issued by Corvid Labs and are not external accreditations or qualifications recognised by any government authority or professional body.

9. Disclaimers

Programmes are provided for educational purposes. Corvid Labs does not warrant that completion of any Programme will result in employment, career advancement or any specific professional outcome. We do not provide legal, financial or regulatory advice through our Programmes.

Materials and session content reflect the state of the field at the time they are produced. The AI development field moves quickly; we update materials between cohorts but do not warrant that all content is current at any given moment.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Corvid Labs' aggregate liability to you in connection with any Programme or this Agreement is limited to the Programme fee you paid. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental losses, including loss of income, data or opportunity, arising from participation in or inability to access a Programme.

This limitation does not exclude liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Corvid Labs, its instructors and staff from any claim, damage, loss or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of this Agreement, your misuse of Materials or your conduct during a Programme.

12. Termination

We may terminate your enrolment and access to Materials without refund if you breach the participant responsibilities in Section 5, engage in academic dishonesty, or if your conduct is disruptive to other participants or instructors. We will give written notice of termination except where immediate termination is necessary to protect other participants.

You may withdraw from a Programme at any time subject to the refund terms in Section 7. Sections 6, 9, 10, 11 and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes arising from this Agreement will first be referred to informal resolution by written notice to [email protected]. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days of that notice, it will be submitted to mediation under the rules of the Malaysian Mediation Centre before any court proceedings are commenced. If mediation is unsuccessful, the courts of Pulau Pinang, Malaysia shall have jurisdiction.

14. General Provisions

  • Entire agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Corvid Labs for the relevant Programme and supersedes any prior communications on the same subject.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights under this Agreement. We may assign our rights to a successor entity operating the same Programmes.
  • Notices: Formal notices to us should be sent to [email protected]. Notices to you will be sent to the email address provided at enrolment.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. For enrolled participants, material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued participation in a Programme after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
